Written Paragraphs (French x3, English x2)	Paragraphs are incomplete or unclear; limited vocabulary and sentence structure. There’s a lot of English. Don’t use Google translate!!	Paragraphs are mostly complete. You only use periods and your commas are sometimes not correctly placed. Some words are in English.	Paragraphs are complete, descriptive, and you looked up unfamiliar French words.	Paragraphs are well-structured. Some sentences end in periods, some with exclamation marks (there’s varied punctuation).  No English.
Box Decoration	Minimal effort; decoration does not reflect personal identity.	Some effort; decoration shows a few personal interests.	Decoration is thoughtful and clearly reflects personal identity.	Decoration is creative, detailed, and strongly reflects personal identity.

Constellations

 We were talking about constellations in class, and I showed students a website that shows what the sky looked like on the day you were born.

We didn't have enough time to look at all birthdays, so I told students I would post a link to this site on this blog: https://www.skywhen.com/tools/sky-on-any-date

Our class mascot, Tim The Panda Bear of Kindness, “spies” on us and ​writes a weekly newspaper to help us practice French reading

Students are writing short « identity paragraphs » about their canard en plastique. Most are done. This homework is due Wednesday.
